So, I have to say Danny is in Heaven! He loves the beaches and the waves. I love seeing him in his element! He normally surfs the North Shore breaks, Pipeline and Gas Chambers. The waves are HUGE! Hawai'i just keeps getting better and better for us. We love life here. We have a ton of friends, and love our jobs and school. For work, we have been blessed to get jobs at Gunstock Ranch. I am a wrangler and get lead trail guides to tourist or whoever comes to take rides, Danny is the ranch hand and gets to work with the cows and build things around the ranch. I love working with horses. We feel so blessed and I can't think of any better way to spend our lives as newlyweds.
This weekend was pretty busy, we both worked a lot and went to the beach, Thursday we even got to swim with some sea turtles!!  It was amazing. Friday we worked and went and saw the movie, Taken 2 with our friends Tom and Tara, and Saturday we went up the North Shore for a surf sesh!We were also so happy to watch conference this weekend! Times are so different in Hawaii, so conference started at 6am both days!! But We LOVE hearing the prophets and apostles speak and are so excited about the new mission ages, that is so awesome. We also are so excited for Danny's parents to come to Hawai'i this week!! We can't wait to see them!

Aloha!

We are finally in Hawai'i!! We love it here! It is so beautiful! The first few days here, we would wake up and have to remind ourselves that we actually live here! We live in a cute "cottage" behind a family's house in Kahuku. We are a 3 minute drive away from the BYU Hawaii campus. We have been so blessed since we got here. We both love our place, and we both got jobs at the horse ranch down the street guiding trail rides and helping out around there. We also found a car! It is a 1997 Mazda Protege...so styling! (and to make it better, its bright blue!) So, within a week we were all set for school to start last week.

School is awesome too. The classes are so small, and the campus is gorgeous. The beach is a block away. I don't think school can get better than that! My favorite class is my Hawaiian language class, and Danny's favorite is his life guarding class that we take together. And we both love our Celestial marriage class! When we aren't at school have been hanging out with Danny's good friend from the MTC and his wife and through them we have meet a lot of awesome people! We swam out to China Mans hat and hiked to the top! Danny and I have been out to Sharks Cove a couple times to snorkel, and we have plans to go catch some wild chameleons and go swimming with dolphins at Electric Beach in the next few weeks!

Life here is so sweet. It is laid back, It is perfect weather, and I think we are beyond blessed to live and go to school here. I am so excited for our many adventures that are ahead!!

Lake Powell Trip

Well, It has been quite the summer! From living on a farm to driving across country in our 16 year old 4-runner to North Carolina for Coon Dog Day. It has been a blast, but our Adventures are just beginning because in 26 days we will be on a flight to Hawaii!

Before we take off, we were lucky enough to enjoy a trip to Lake Powell with our family.
We loved it! Everything from sleeping under the stars on the top of the house boat to being in the water every single day was awesome. To sum it up we ate, slept, and played. It was a pretty "tough" life there on the great Lake Powell...

...and then came the honeymoon...

The Honeymoon...oh, the honeymoon.
First off, we went on a cruise. It was so fun!! but we gained like ten pounds each (cruise=all you can eat, all day=heaven.) We left out of Long Beach, California the day after our wedding. The first two days were very laid back, which was just what we needed. They were "sea days" so, we laid out, ate ( a lot), napped, played mini golf, and we even managed to hit up some of the water slides that were on the boat! Every night we had a dinner time, with the same waiters, but with different meals. So, we went to dinner and then watched a movie outside on the main deck, on the big screen. And since the ice cream was unlimited too, you know we had ice cream cones in our hands. yuuummm. The Next day was also a day at sea. We pretty much did the same thing, but we got a couples massage and went to a show. The next three days we were in MEXICO! The first two days in Cabo, the third day in Puerto Vallarta.

(just because i am so OCD, im going to list ha)

Cabo:
The first day in Cabo we were kinda tired of being around so many crowds, so we just busted off the boat and rented a topless jeep, and off we went. We drove all up the Mexican coast and up to Todos Santos just for some "real Mexican" Tacos. On the way there we stopped at two or three beaches along the way during our drive...the beaches were spotless, no people, nothing. Completely private. It was private. We also stopped at a little beat up place on the side of the road, to ask for directions ( oh, Danny speaks fluently in Spanish, so we were set....thank gosh) the place we happened to stop at was a horse riding business that took people riding on the beach. We didn't hesitate, and neither did they. The people let us hop right on , and off we went. We galloped up and down this gorgeous beach. It was quite a fun day.
Cabo, day 2:
The second day in Cabo we decided to stay more in the city. In the city, Mexican natives are always trying to get in your face and sell all kinds of things to you, as well as try to take you snorkeling, fishing, etc. We got off the boat at 9am, and were on a Jet Ski by 9:30. That's how quick they got us! We rode all around the Sea or Cortes! After our ride, we ate some tacos on the beach, then took a boat over to Lovers beach were we found ourselves soaking up the sun and snorkeling!
Puerto Vallarta:
This was such a fun day!! We knew before hand we were going to go zip lining in Puerto Vallarta, and that is exactly what we did. We found a company called "Canopy River" and they threw us on a bus and that bus ride as sketchy as it was...was SO fun! No windows, no seat belts, no road laws, just cruising up and around the mountains. We really got to leave the city and see the real Mexico and  It was amazing to see the different culture. So, we hit the top of the mountain, just to take 14, 600 yard zip lines back to the bottom, then ride mule back up to take the crazy bus ride back down!! haha, it was such a blast. I was so bummed because we weren't allowed to take our cameras with us up the zip line, so I don't have any pictures of that. After the Zip line, we ate at a really neat outside restaurant, and then hit up the market and did some shopping. Then, back on the boat we went for another two days at sea.

So the rest of our cruise we ate, and then ate some more, and went to some really fun shows...and we even did scatacategories!! We would have won if we would have thought of something better then an Elf when they asked us what we wrote down for something that is in a zoo that starts with the letter "E" haha. Oh well, it was fun anyways!
We had an awesome time! With it being Our first Vacation, it will NOT be our last!!

(ahh...now see that was scandalous like you thought it would be!)
