...and then came the honeymoon...

The Honeymoon...oh, the honeymoon.
First off, we went on a cruise. It was so fun!! but we gained like ten pounds each (cruise=all you can eat, all day=heaven.) We left out of Long Beach, California the day after our wedding. The first two days were very laid back, which was just what we needed. They were "sea days" so, we laid out, ate ( a lot), napped, played mini golf, and we even managed to hit up some of the water slides that were on the boat! Every night we had a dinner time, with the same waiters, but with different meals. So, we went to dinner and then watched a movie outside on the main deck, on the big screen. And since the ice cream was unlimited too, you know we had ice cream cones in our hands. yuuummm. The Next day was also a day at sea. We pretty much did the same thing, but we got a couples massage and went to a show. The next three days we were in MEXICO! The first two days in Cabo, the third day in Puerto Vallarta.

(just because i am so OCD, im going to list ha)

Cabo:
The first day in Cabo we were kinda tired of being around so many crowds, so we just busted off the boat and rented a topless jeep, and off we went. We drove all up the Mexican coast and up to Todos Santos just for some "real Mexican" Tacos. On the way there we stopped at two or three beaches along the way during our drive...the beaches were spotless, no people, nothing. Completely private. It was private. We also stopped at a little beat up place on the side of the road, to ask for directions ( oh, Danny speaks fluently in Spanish, so we were set....thank gosh) the place we happened to stop at was a horse riding business that took people riding on the beach. We didn't hesitate, and neither did they. The people let us hop right on , and off we went. We galloped up and down this gorgeous beach. It was quite a fun day.
Cabo, day 2:
The second day in Cabo we decided to stay more in the city. In the city, Mexican natives are always trying to get in your face and sell all kinds of things to you, as well as try to take you snorkeling, fishing, etc. We got off the boat at 9am, and were on a Jet Ski by 9:30. That's how quick they got us! We rode all around the Sea or Cortes! After our ride, we ate some tacos on the beach, then took a boat over to Lovers beach were we found ourselves soaking up the sun and snorkeling!
Puerto Vallarta:
This was such a fun day!! We knew before hand we were going to go zip lining in Puerto Vallarta, and that is exactly what we did. We found a company called "Canopy River" and they threw us on a bus and that bus ride as sketchy as it was...was SO fun! No windows, no seat belts, no road laws, just cruising up and around the mountains. We really got to leave the city and see the real Mexico and  It was amazing to see the different culture. So, we hit the top of the mountain, just to take 14, 600 yard zip lines back to the bottom, then ride mule back up to take the crazy bus ride back down!! haha, it was such a blast. I was so bummed because we weren't allowed to take our cameras with us up the zip line, so I don't have any pictures of that. After the Zip line, we ate at a really neat outside restaurant, and then hit up the market and did some shopping. Then, back on the boat we went for another two days at sea.

So the rest of our cruise we ate, and then ate some more, and went to some really fun shows...and we even did scatacategories!! We would have won if we would have thought of something better then an Elf when they asked us what we wrote down for something that is in a zoo that starts with the letter "E" haha. Oh well, it was fun anyways!
We had an awesome time! With it being Our first Vacation, it will NOT be our last!!

(ahh...now see that was scandalous like you thought it would be!)

and we're gonna get ma-a-aried!

I don't even know where to begin. The whole month of may flew by way too fast. I do have one thing to say though... WE ARE MARRIED!

May 1st:
Our month of may started with hoping on a plane to Charleston. Last time we were in South Carolina was for my sisters wedding, now, low and behold...here we are just a couple of weeks before mine. During our trip there we did plenty of fun things, the beach of course being one of them! We also had an awesome wedding shower that my step grandma hosted for us. It was great being able to have something in Charleston to celebrate considering the wedding was in California, so we got to see (and Danny got to meet) a lot of close family and friends that wouldn't be able to fly out for our wedding. We also got the privilege of showing off Charleston to Danny's parents who flew in for a couple days for my endowments. It was a treat to have them there! The first night they flew in we got picked up by rickshas ( for those of you who aren't quite sure what that is....it is a little carriage pulled behind a guy on a bike! It is a unique way of transportation that is used in Charleston) Danny's parents loved it! We went to dinner at Halls Steakhouse and the next day had a carriage ride all through downtown. I was so excited they came out! It was a great trip!

 May 7th:
We fly back to Salt Lake and drive down to California. This was our wedding week and oh my gosh were we excited! We went from one side of the country to the other (we tend to do that a lot). We were down there for the week and we got to, again, hit up the beach and yes, Danny got to surf...even I surfed! 3 Times! I'm defiantly a pro now. By Thursday my family was in California and it was there first time there! They loved it! I was so happy to have them in Cali for our special day. It meant so much to me. The 2 days before our wedding sped by. We went to the beach and my siblings got to surf, and of course we had to go to a west coast Mexican restaurant. Friday morning, the girls got their nails done (mean time, Danny was ..just take a guess...surfing.) That night we had a super fun cook out at Danny's Place. That is when our families really started building bonds and friends, and for me...I loved every second of it. We all ate and swam, it was so much fun. That night I had to stay at Danny's a little later to finish up some wedding stuff, so my family went back to the hotel. Later, Danny drove me back and dropped me off. The ride to the hotel was where we hit realization. We got in the car, shut the doors, and just looked at each other and said..."WE ARE GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!" , haha. When we walked up to my hotel room he kissed me outside the door, and with a sweet look, said "I love you, and I am so excited to marry you." And as he walked down the hall way I just watched him, not believing how lucky I was.

May 12th: OUR WEDDING DAY! This is where is gets good.
10am. The makeup artist and hair stylist came and went, I was getting ready in my best friends hotel room  ( a couple rooms down from mine) and I could not believe  I was getting married today. Danny was in the lobby waiting to pick me up and take me to the Temple with him. He was perfectly on time ( He tends to be late a lot, so I harassed him all week about being late on our wedding day. I guess it worked!) When I saw him he looked just so handsome in his suit. He came up and hugged me and kissed me on the forehead and said "Lets go get married!" So, we drove to the Newport Beach Temple, where we were married for time and eternity.

Our reception was beautiful! I loved everything about it! It was so summery and bright, totally matched our personalities. Hamburgers and hotdogs were being catered, we had a huge fruit table, and dessert table! It was awesome. We danced to our first dance, and then ate a little and greeted a lot, a lot of people. Then we cut the cake...Danny was so good and didn't smudge cake on my face, like I did him, BUT after I smudged his face He wiped his face on my dress train! That sneaker. Then we did the bouquet and guarder toss. It went by so fast! But my favorite part of the whole reception was when I did what my mom told me to (mothers know best...always) and During our last dance I took a moment to just stop and look around. It was so great to see all of our family there together, dancing and laughing, it was a room full of joy, and I loved everything about it. It is a picture in my mind I will never forget. On our way out, we went through a tunnel of our guest blowing bubbles and waving there cute flags that were made. (We can't lie, we both kinda felt famous at that point, haha.) We jumped into his truck, and off we went. I was in tears for like ten minutes straight, like balling. I was so sad it was over, but at the same time so excited about our new life together. And Danny is sitting over in the drivers seat with the biggest grin I have ever seen on his face. haha. (I wonder why)
It was an amazing day. The happiest day of my life. I had all my friends and family there, and I got to marry the man of my dreams. I have never felt so much joy then I did that day, when I was married to him...it was more then could ever ask for.
